This is probably the simplest dress I have made in a long long time, but it’s also the one that I absolutely adore. It’s a free pattern from Purl Soho.
You may recall this fabric; it’s the chambray I had leftover from the Noa Pants. Luckily I had just enough leftover for the body of the dress. Good thing! Else I wouldn’t have really thought about using contrasting ties!
These days I find myself drawn to patterns that are simple and easy. And I really seem to be enjoying hand sewing that involves a little embroidery. Maybe it’s my ‘slow -sewing’ movement where I savor every stitch.
Now that you know of my new love, you are sure to see more of it. Maybe a little bit of knitting too? Bring back the old world charm!
